British MP Debbie Abrahams, who was denied entry into India after the government revoked her visa, visited Pakistan on Wednesday and said that she was not anti-India or pro-Pakistan but just wanted to see the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

Abrahams, who is chairs a British parliamentary group on Kashmir, attempted entering India earlier this week. However, she was refused entry at the Delhi airport and deported since her visa had been revoked.Government sources later said her visa was revoked because she indulged in"anti-India" activities.

On Wednesday, Abrahams visited Pakistan along with eight other MPs from the UK Parliament. Abrahams and the MPs met Pakistan foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi. Addressing media on Wednesday afternoon,Abrahams said she wants to reiterate her demand to visit Jammu and Kashmir.

"Pakistan has shown an open approach towards resolvingthe Kashmir issue," Abraham also said, adding that she wants to visitJammu and Kashmir to see for herself the ground situation there. "We arean independent group, we are not anti-India or pro-Pakistan," Abrahamsalso said.

"We wanted to make sure that the delegation visits...Jammu and Kashmir... I have gotten no responses for my requests for delegationvisit to Jammu and Kashmir by India," Abrahams also said.

A Labour party MP, Abrahams is among a group of MPs who hadissued formal letters criticising the government's revocation of Jammu andKashmir's special status under Article 370 in August last year.
